Purpose Driven

I often write my way through my struggles with poetry, and express where my feelings are, my pain points, the heights I did not think were achievable, and I pushed against all odds.
— Tracee Wells-Bryant

Moreland Resource Consulting would like to introduce Tracee Wells-Bryant to our viewers, born and raised in Dayton, Ohio, and relocated to the west coast in 1999. Tracee is married and has a son who is a coach and works for the school district. She describes her family as being strong, beautiful, and loving.

Education and Career Pursuits

Tracee explained that her educational background consists of religious and secular education. Tracee has previous work in training and development towards a master's degree. Tracee reminisced that she wanted to pursue music at one point in her life and had been an undergraduate at Kentucky State University studying for her bachelor's degree. Tracee is currently a certified life and career coach, employment specialist, and other business ventures with Portland Community College. She has been with PCC for over two decades now. Tracee states she is "adamant about people finding their core, living their best life, and coming into the world of work knowing that the workplace and their core values are aligning with who they are."

Conquering Obstacles

Tracee recalls when she lost everything before taking a leap of faith and moving to Portland with her son, who was a small child. She has overcome many losses in her life, and still, she continues to push through her pain and persevere.

Self-Expression

Another endeavor Tracee is actively pursuing is a career in writing. The first book she published was on sacred poetry. It expresses her "mountaintop victories and joys that I have gone through. “I often write my way through my struggles with poetry, and express where my feelings are, my pain points, the heights I did not think were achievable, and I pushed against all odds.” Tracee's second book she is working on is a project on the difference between relationship versus religion in God and how sometimes religious rules, codes, and ethics, and how it can keep us from the true love of God and acceptance.

Major Influence in her Community

When Tracee became my life and career coach in 2018, I received guidance and support from her. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know Tracee and vice versa. She met me where I was at and has pushed me to keep moving forward ever since. Throughout my self-development, Tracee has been nothing less than authentic, genuine, and understanding. Tracee refers to herself as a "foolish optimist," and I could not agree more. Her optimism for her students and our paths has helped us to believe in ourselves like never before. Tracee possesses a significant amount of grace with a gentle spirit. She is known to light up any room she enters effortlessly.

Closing Sentiments

When asked what three traits Tracee would use to describe herself, she responded: a marketer of hope, a career activist, and a woman of faith that believes in the human spirit and all it can accomplish when it is prepared and has resources. Tracee's outlook on life is that nothing is impossible. Tracee says she wants to be remembered as a person who believes in others. Her advice to the next generation is to have a voice and to know the power of your voice.
